The Fear of the Divine Masculine: A Collective Awakening

Unpacking the deeper collective codes behind the Justin & Blake saga—and why it’s a mirror for us all.
I am by no means someone who follows big Hollywood celebrities. In fact, if you check who I’m following, the only ‘big’ celebrity you’ll see is Paris Hilton. To me, celebrities carry the same weight as us all. We are all humans at the end of the day. I am not impressed by your status; I am impressed by who you are and what you are genuinely doing for this planet. Are you uplifting it, or are you feeding it the same lies on repeat?
However, I have been caught up, like many, in the Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively saga. While I usually don’t pay attention to celebrity drama, this case caught my attention—not for the gossip, but for what it reflected back to me about collective beliefs and conditioning. I have followed Justin for so many years. I watched It Ends With Us and was genuinely shocked when I first heard about the controversy. I have to admit, I got swept up into it, but for reasons beyond the gossip. I was swept up in what was being mirrored and highlighted in me.
Please stay with me as I share my perspective on the collective beliefs being mirrored here—regardless of what is actually happening in the case or what the outcome may be.
Let me break it down for you, as you might have felt some of these too if you have been following along. But first, for those who have no idea what I’m talking about: Essentially, Justin and Blake did a movie together, with Justin as the director and main lead, and Blake as the main lead. Blake allegedly attempted to take over the movie, and long story short, she is now suing Justin for sexual assault—ironically, the very theme of the movie. He is also suing Blake and Ryan for damages. Sure, we could dismiss this as a publicity stunt, a psy-op, or just Hollywood drama—and maybe it is. But I am not here to talk about the drama. I want to take you through the steps we, as a collective, are being taken through because of this. From my lens, my perspective. I am sure that many with different upbringings and traumas would feel a completely different way than I do.
But one thing I am sure we can agree on is that there is definitely a collective belief around women being mistreated by men. This has been going on for centuries and will probably continue throughout our lifetime. This has been highlighted here in this case. Another collective belief we can all agree on is that we often don’t believe women when this happens. Again, this has been brought to the surface in this case.
But there is something else in this case that might be going unnoticed or is perhaps a relatively new realisation. Collectively, we are afraid of the deeply embodied masculine man. One who is in touch with his emotions but can equally hold the emotions of the feminine. A man who respects, adores and perhaps even worships women. A man who will stand up for every right he believes in while also allowing you to believe in your truth. A man who is still the provider but doesn’t complain when he needs to provide. A man who will admit his faults and his deepest fears without fear of being rejected by the world, or better yet, the feminine. This is a man we all fear. Because this is the man that is here to change the world. A change that not many are ready for. A change that many fear as it is so unknown.
I say this as the rise of the divine feminine is so prevalent in our society already, but the world needs balance, and at its current state, it is very skewed. The pendulum is swinging too far to one side. In order for balance, we need it to swing hard to the other side before it gradually returns to equilibrium. That’s why we see a rise in angry misogynist men.
Here, we see three collective traumas surfacing from different angles:
Women being mistreated by men.
Men and women both not believing a woman when she speaks out about mistreatment.
Men embodying their true Divine Masculine.
Now, there are probably many other things being highlighted in this case, but these are the three that triggered something inside of me, leading me to go deeper into it and explore what I was seeing.
Women Being Mistreated & Not Being Believed
This has been going on for as long as we can remember. There’s no denying it. This case has undoubtedly brought up these feelings for many women. I witnessed many women telling their stories, only to be silenced by men—as if saying, “How dare we speak of our treatment, like it matters?”
We are fortunate to be in a time of social media, where we can share stories and be validated by others who have had similar experiences. But this also brings to the surface the other side: hate and dismissal. This can, of course, put people back in their ‘caves,’ never speaking out again. Something that should never happen—but naturally will. Many have become more confident on social media in speaking out, but we have no idea what happens offline when reality kicks in.
For me, I was instantly triggered by the many times I never spoke up, and I was taken straight to: She’s lying. She’s making it up. Instantly. What is that telling me? That deep down, this world, this collective, has taught me not to believe myself. Not to believe other women. Not to have trust in women. That we do not trust our mothers, ultimately.
WE DO NOT TRUST OUR MOTHERS. As a collective. Isn’t that crazy?
Shifting the Codes
So, what can we do when we have beliefs like this? We recognise them. That’s it. We allow ourselves to accept that this is a belief we hold. That we can’t deny when these things are mirrored to us, they make us feel a certain way. Mine was anger; yours might be something else. We can keep looking at it and examining it until the feeling becomes lighter and lighter.
This is how you change the codes.
The Divine Masculine
To clarify what I mean, here’s what I see as the embodiment of The Divine Masculine:
The Divine Masculine is the type of man that believes women are oracles and what’s good in this world.
He wants you to feel so safe in your feminine that you cannot sway from her one inch.
He wants the world to know you exist.
He will respect, adore and worship the ground you walk on. But he will also guide his woman when she sways.
He will not be rattled by her emotions.
He will not be angered by her intuition.
He will willingly go deep into the trenches of his own hell in order to be the best man he can be.
He trusts in God and the path that he is given.
He is here to protect and serve The Divine Feminine—both within himself and within others.
The Divine Masculine is a force. He is as flawed as any other man, but he knows that in order to survive, he must break himself apart and hand out the pieces to those he wishes to walk this journey with.
Nothing can stop him.
Final Thoughts
I started this piece by saying I don’t follow Hollywood drama, and I stand by that. But what caught my attention here was not the gossip—it was the deeper lesson. It led me to a profound realisation about The Divine Masculine, the mirror it held up to me, to us as a collective, and to the codes we’re still carrying.
Let me ask you this: as a collective, are we willing to accept The Divine Masculine into our world? Are we here with open arms, or do we fear this force?
The shift we seek in the world begins within. When we embrace the Divine Masculine and Feminine within ourselves, we create the foundation for it to be reflected in society.
Happy coding, fam!
